Vlogging My Senior Spring: January 2016

11:09 AM

I'm not a YouTuber, but the idea of having vlogs to look back on different parts of my life really stuck with me when I studied abroad last spring. I made vlogs with my best friend Summer while we galavanted through Wales and across Europe. I knew it was an experience that I would never have again, so I wanted to record as much of it as I could to be able to A. share it with my friends and family back home and B. actually look back on it when it was time to reminisce.

Summer and I ended up going back and watching our vlogs on our own multiple times, which was great for me to hear because she wasn't totally in love with the idea when we were first starting our semester abroad. Because of that, I decided our final semester of college is something I'm going to want to remember and should vlog as well.

I finished editing the video for January the other day and decided to share it with you here too!

  2. I can see how vlogging would be a great way of storing memories of special times in life ready to look back over for reminiscing :)

    1. It has been really nice to be able to look back on events and actually be able to seemingly "relive" it instead of just talk about it! :)

  3. Sora, I loved your vlog! Looks like you had an amazing time in Europe:) I thought about making a vlog, too, but I am too camera shy for it right now, lol. Anyway, thanks for sharing your memories and have a great Sunday!

    1. Thank you so much!! Yes, we had such an incredible time! Haha, don't worry, it took a LOT of getting used to - I'm still shy about it, but I'm so happy with the outcome, that it's worth it. You too!

  10. I love the idea of vlogging, also! Vlogs are my favourite kind of YouTube videos to watch. :) Really makes me feel like I get to know the person behind the vlog so much better! x

    1. I agree! And I have fun sometimes editing more of a montage like this one, and then other times doing a typical talking vlog, if that makes sense haha.

  14. I just recently made my channel and youtube and I do get what you mean, I started vlogging too so that I could have something to look back to. It's just one of those things that I can't explain why but it makes me happy.
