The days of warm Thanksgivings are long gone. Say hello to the latest polar vortex.
We got our first snow of the season over the weekend. Some friends are overjoyed. As for me, I couldn't be more disappointed. For having grown up on the east coast dealing with winter for my entire life, I hate snow. With a passion.
Thankfully, the dreaded weather held off for a couple days, so I could spend a day exploring SoHo while my best friend was visiting for the weekend.
While she was in town, we went to check out Glossier's now permanent showroom. If you're ever in town, I highly recommend it! It's small because it doubles as their office space, but it is so pristinely set up. Plus, because of the fact that Glossier is an online company, it's a huge bonus to be able to see these products and try them out before purchasing.
Though I didn't make any purchases this trip, I will be back soon! I really loved the Universal Skin Salve and could definitely use it in the cold weather. My skin gets so dry and cracked - not a good look - and you never know when you need a little bit of hydration.
After Glossier, we took a quick break at the ever adorable Cha Cha Matcha before exploring more shops and the Union Square Christmas Market. It has a lot of (or all?) the same vendors as the Bryant Park market I went to last year in double denim. I actually checked out the Union Square market last year as well. Even though it gets unbelievably crowded and cramped, it's still one of my favorite things to do... if it isn't too cold. Thankfully, my new Boohoo sweater kept me cozy and warm!
